The biggest mistakes when looking for a job in Białystok, Warsaw and everywhere else
Although looking for a job is not the easiest of tasks, it is also not as complicated as some people make it out to be. People who are open to new challenges often wonder why their invitations to interviews do not arrive when they send out plenty of offers. Once it happens, however, it turns out that it was the only contact with the company.
If you need a well-paid and future-oriented Work, Bialystok GoWork and any other large city will certainly have a lot to offer. However it is important not to make some serious mistakes.
Looking for a job – how not to do it?
Although it is difficult to point out the ideal course of action during the job search, we can certainly identify a few cardinal errors that contribute to the fact that we do not receive invitations for interviews, and even if – we fall out in the rush, succumbing to the superiority of other candidates.
A big mistake is for sure neglecting a document which is a CV. Our professional CV is, together with the cover letter, the only reason for the recruiter to be convinced that we will be invited to the next stage. In order for our application to be successful, we should avoid creating a CV in the form of an indistinguishable list. The more varied it is, the greater the chance that we will be remembered.
Some people complain that they often have to wait several months to find a suitable job. It is not about lack of patience, and this certainly helps in the search. This is more about the fact of seeking employment early enough. If you are aware of the fact that you might be fired or that your contract with your current employer is about to end, you should start your search early. Sending your CV to an ad does not mean you will get a call back the next day. What’s more, it may not even be next week or this month, as the recruitment process may take a month, but also two or three. It may turn out that a company actually needs someone right away, however these are only individual cases.
The worst thing you can do is to give false information on your resume. Remember that the lie will come out sooner or later. Taking a job that does not match our skills can end very badly for us. We should aim high, but also strength to measure. You should start with a more modest position, be honest, learn and gain experience as this will surely take you to the top.
